Its designation as the region’s Level II Trauma Center makes it the “flagship” trauma center of Idaho. In addition, Saint Alphonsus is the home to Life Flight emergency helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft. In November of 1999 Saint Alphonsus Orthopaedic Institute was named one of the “Top 100 Orthopedic Hosptials” in the nation. In April of 2000 Saint Alphonsus was listed as one of the “Top 100 Most Wired” hospitals in the nation. In May of 2000 Saint Alphonsus was awarded at “Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospitals.
