The Aikido taught is a streamlined, rationalized non-competitive Tomiki Aikido style with an emphasis on functional self-defense. Aikido is a modern martial art based on using an attackers strength against themselves. Also taught, for advanced students, is the Shindo Muso Jodo Seitei no Kata, the use of the Jo.
