Website Description: The Cindy Jean is a true Chesapeake Bay three-sail bateau. Vessels like Cindy Jean once flourished on the bay, dredging oysters and carrying passengers and goods about the bay. Now only a few remain.
Traditional construction methods were used to make this authentic work boat to yacht standards. Her hull is constructed of cedar planks on white oak frames. Trim and interior wood are hand crafted in oak and mahogony.
While tradition is important at Chesapeake Charters, safety never comes second. The vessel is equipped with all safety and lifesaving gear required by the U.S. Coast Guard.
